ASIA’s self-titled debut hit the charts in grand style, with the album certified multi-platinum. Billboard listed it as the #1 album in the United States in 1982, featuring the hit “Heat of the Moment,” which remains their top charting and best-known song. It reached the top 40 worldwide, peaking in the U.S. at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Their follow-up album, Alpha, proved just as influential, boosted immensely by the success of the U.S. number-one hit “Don’t Cry.”
