Containing a thrilling contemporary score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, Next to Normal a dramatic and emotional powerhouse of a musical about a family trying to take care of themselves and each other. Join Significant Productions as we celebrate our 10th season with this reimagining of our debut production. This musical includes a lot of heavy themes: mental health, depression, suicide, grief, loss of a child, medical treatments, and opioid addiction. The protagonist copes with being diagnosed bipolar and losing her son. We see her struggling with the side effects of her medications and decide to no longer take them. Once off of the medication, she harms herself.

This production will include theatrical haze, flashing lights, and strobe lights. If you are uncomfortable or have a medical sensitivity to such effects, please speak with House Management for specific information and recommendations before the show begins.
