The Lords of 52nd Street are the legendary Billy Joel Band, who recorded and toured the world for many years with the “Piano Man” Mr. Billy Joel. The backbone to Billy Joel’s lyrics, and provided the music to the songs we all know and love. This brilliant band is led by, Russell Javors on rhythm guitar and Liberty Devitto on drums and percussion. From starting at the bottom playing local venues in Long Island, to moving up to colleges and universities across the nation, and eventually circumventing the entire planet.
From New York, to London, to Tokyo, the Lords of 52nd Street never cease to amaze the fans, and continue to be peerless. They have worked with famous and talented musicians such as, Ray Charles, Karen Carpenter, and Paul McCartney. The Lords aren’t afraid of changing history, and were the first American Band welcomed to play in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1987. Their efforts helped change the path of history, and their dedication and devotion to music enshrined them in the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014 and they have continued to tour successfully for the last 6 years. You know all the songs, these are the guys who were there during the birth and growth of all those classics, playing them in the studio and on the road.
