A comedy by Ray Cooney and revised for The Villages by Katie Rogers
Directed by Katie Rogers

John Smith is a taxi driver who lives in the Village of Charlotte with his wife, Mary, and in the Village of Pine Ridge with his other wife, Barbara. He manages to keep his bigamy a secret until an act of heroism at Lake Sumter Landing threatens to burst his bubble. John has to make up some fantastic stories which create hilarious interactions among all of the characters! This side-splitting comedy will have you laughing from beginning to end.

The VTC was founded in 1992, incorporated in 2007 and became a 501C(3) public charity in 2014. The money raised from our productions is used to sustain the group and its programs and any money remaining is donated to other charities. Since January of 2014, over $71,000 has been donated to more than 20 different charities..Our mission is to provide a quality theater experience for our patrons and the opportunity for Villages residents to learn about and participate in all aspects of play production. This mission is accomplished by holding learning workshops, producing three major plays with full sets built on the stage and at least three one act plays as well as a summer drama series. We also have two traveling troupes that can be hired for entertainment for club meetings.
Our group is managed by a board of seven members and ten board assistants who are all volunteers. If you would like to know more about us or become a member, please see our web site: www.tvtc.yolasite.com
