Not all rock was created equal; The Orchestra is living proof.  With a pedigree reaching into the 70s and 80s as the Electric Light Orchestra and into the 90s as ELO Part II. The Orchestra has launched their 2017 tour, heralding a continuing era of unparalleled symphonic rock.  ALL six members of The Orchestra were ELO Part II, with two of the six members - Mik Kaminski (the famous “Blue Violin”) and keyboardist Louis Clark - dating back to the Electric Light Orchestra in the 1970s and 1980s. The former members of ELO and ELO Part II, touring domestically and internationally since 2001 as The Orchestra, are known as the “all time masters of symphonic rock” with the use of strings, synthesizers, and exquisitely layered vocals.  For many people, the “ELO sound” is as close as they will ever get to classical music.

Since then, the group has embraced repertoire for all ages and stages of life: from folk to classical to jazz to pop; all executed with the same fearlessness, immense technical skill, and typical Viennese "schmäh" (almost impossible to find an English translation, but best rendered as a kind of sarcastic charm!).

In the 2015/16 season, the group returned to North America with their hit show Yes! Yes! Yes! Hailed as "seriously funny" and "whimsically brazen," the show blends original compositions with classical favorites, jazz standards, and popular hits. As always, the repertoire is presented with the group's iconic humour and wit in scenes so clever that they would be worthy of Monty Python.

For such a small country, the list of fantastic songs and songwriters to come out of Ireland is quite astonishing. From back to the time of Percy French and Thomas Moore to modern day legends like Van Morrison, Phil Coulter, and U2’s Bono, Ireland continues to churn out one fantastic song after another. Paul Byrom is the celebrated Irish tenor who initially capture millions of hearts of American theatre-goers and television viewers as an original lead vocalilst in the PBS hit show Celtic Thunder.   He is now bringing his own show, “The Great Irish Songbook”, to America’s shores.  This show is a tribute to the great songwriters to have come from Ireland, combining the songs Paul has grown up singing and listening to, with glorious stories of Ireland and his time growing up in Dublin and the Irish countryside. Singing classics like The Last Rose Of Summer, The Minstrel Boy and I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen, and (of course) Danny Boy to modern hits like Have I Told You Lately That I Love You, You Raise Me Up, and Isle of Hope, Isle Of Tears, Paul has created a show for all ages. In what is sure (and begorra!) to be an evening to remember, you will leave with a glint in your eye thinking of your loved ones and longing for a trip to the Emerald Isle.

When Ken begins to challenge Rothko, he faces the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also become his undoing. This six time Tony Award winning play takes a compelling look at the ever-changing relationship between an artist and his creations.

Legendary film producer David O. Selznick is five weeks into shooting Gone With the Wind when he realizes the script is awful, and that the director doesn't have a clue. He has five days to replace them, and restart the shoot, or the production will shut down. Selznick calls Victor Fleming from the set of The Wizard to Oz to direct, and he taps legendary playwright, screenwriter and script doctor Ben Hecht to rewrite the script. There's only one problem: Hecht hasn't read the book. Over the course of five madcap days, the three men, assisted by Selznick's assistant, Miss Poppenghul, frantically craft one of the most beloved screenplays of all time. As Selznick and Fleming act out the book for Hecht, the phone rings off the hook with calls from the likes of Vivien Leigh, Louis B. Mayer and Ed Sullivan. Hutchinson's play, based on historical events, is written as farce, but the characters also deal with serious questions about race and the fragile position of Jewish executives in Hollywood.
