Family and faith are not always kosher.
Set against the backdrop of 21st century Manhattan, Joshua Harmon's critically acclaimed comedy asks questions about what you choose to believe, when you're chosen.
The patriarch of a Jewish family passes away, and three, very different grandchildren gather at his funeral. Liam is a declared atheist, while Dapha has a ferociously attached herself to every aspect of her Jewish heritage. Jonah, on the other hand, does his best to keep the peace and stay out of any arguments.
When Liam brings home his shiska girlfriend Melody and declares ownership of their grandfather's Chai necklace, a vicious and hilarious brawl over family, faith, and legacy ensues.

Rocky And The Rollers are best known for their high-energy 50's-60's-70's shows that keep the music flowing and crowds dancing.  But at their Rocky And The Rollers Unplugged show, they change things up a bit.  The pace is a little more relaxed, the electric instruments are put away for the night, and the acoustic instruments come out.

Rocky And The Rollers takes advantage of the theater setting to present songs that are less about dancing non-stop and more about evoking joyous memories of the music we all grew up loving. The members of the band use this opportunity to temporarily step out of their usual roles.  You will see them playing instruments they don't usually play onstage, some of which are homemade.  You may even hear the horn players sing!

But while the Rocky And The Rollers Unplugged show is different from their usual high-energy fare, the one thing they have in common is the greatest music from the 50's, 60's and 70's, all performed with Rocky And The Rollers' own inimitable style.  If you're a fan of great music, Rocky And The Rollers Unplugged is a must-see show that you don't want to miss!

Like a comet that burns far too brightly to last, Janis Joplin exploded onto the music scene in 1967 and, almost overnight, became the queen of rock & roll. The unmistakable voice, filled with raw emotion and tinged with Southern Comfort, made her a must-see headliner from Monterey to Woodstock. Now, The Villages is invited to share an evening with the woman and her musical influences in the hit musical A Night With Janis Joplin.

Since then, the group has embraced repertoire for all ages and stages of life: from folk to classical to jazz to pop; all executed with the same fearlessness, immense technical skill, and typical Viennese "schmäh" (almost impossible to find an English translation, but best rendered as a kind of sarcastic charm!).

In the 2015/16 season, the group returned to North America with their hit show Yes! Yes! Yes! Hailed as "seriously funny" and "whimsically brazen," the show blends original compositions with classical favorites, jazz standards, and popular hits. As always, the repertoire is presented with the group's iconic humour and wit in scenes so clever that they would be worthy of Monty Python.

For such a small country, the list of fantastic songs and songwriters to come out of Ireland is quite astonishing. From back to the time of Percy French and Thomas Moore to modern day legends like Van Morrison, Phil Coulter, and U2’s Bono, Ireland continues to churn out one fantastic song after another. Paul Byrom is the celebrated Irish tenor who initially capture millions of hearts of American theatre-goers and television viewers as an original lead vocalilst in the PBS hit show Celtic Thunder.   He is now bringing his own show, “The Great Irish Songbook”, to America’s shores.  This show is a tribute to the great songwriters to have come from Ireland, combining the songs Paul has grown up singing and listening to, with glorious stories of Ireland and his time growing up in Dublin and the Irish countryside. Singing classics like The Last Rose Of Summer, The Minstrel Boy and I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen, and (of course) Danny Boy to modern hits like Have I Told You Lately That I Love You, You Raise Me Up, and Isle of Hope, Isle Of Tears, Paul has created a show for all ages. In what is sure (and begorra!) to be an evening to remember, you will leave with a glint in your eye thinking of your loved ones and longing for a trip to the Emerald Isle.

Bleed for your art.
Famed abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko asks his recently hired young assistant, Ken, the loaded question, "What do you see?" John Logan's visceral two-hander, Red, features artist Mark Rothko at the height of his career. Set in 1950s lower Manhattan, this biographical play illustrates Rothko struggle as he lands the biggest commission in the history of modern art, a series of murals for New York's famed Four Seasons Restaurant. When Ken begins to challenge Rothko, he faces the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also become his undoing. This six time Tony Award winning play takes a compelling look at the ever-changing relationship between an artist and his creations.
