The narrator, El Gallo, originally played by Jerry Orbach, asks the audience to use their imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. The boy and the girl fall in love, grow apart, and finally find their way back to each other after realizing the truth in El Gallo's words that "without a hurt, the heart is hollow".  The famous score, which includes the classics Try To RememberThey Were You and Soon It's Gonna Rain, is as timeless as the story itself.

Ethel Merman was the best of the Broadway belters. What's a belter? She's the lady who comes out in the middle of the first act, plants her feet squarely on the stage and sings her song (preferably a raucous and stirring number) both louder and with more excitement than anyone in the show. And for 40 years you could always rely on "The Merm" to deliver the goods. When she retired from Broadway in 1970 she left people wondering if they would ever hear that sound again.

Fast forward to 2011. You CAN hear it again. Rita McKenzie and I wrote Ethel Merman's Broadway because we missed experiencing those classic Broadway musical moments. This show brings back that old Merman magic. New theatergoers can find out just what that magic is all about.

Better Together, an intimate evening with Fernando, Susan and Zeke Varela

A family that sings together, stays together!  After touring the world with Sarah Brightman and David Foster, Fernando returns home to sing with his favorite artists: his family.  Better Together features the singing debut of Zeke Varela, as he joins Susan and Fernando on stage for the very first time.  After seeing Fernando receive countless standing ovations in arenas throughout Europe, Zeke asked his dad if he could sing with him in a show - and the spark for “Better Together” was born.  Featuring songs you know and love, mixed in with some new favorites from The Greatest Showman, you won’t want to miss this heart warming concert based on what it’s like to be a family in a modern world.

Stephen's work on television includes series regular roles in Michael Mann’s Crime Story, The Fugitive, and Steven Spielberg’s, Terra Nova, as well as a memorable performance in the the title role in NBC’s telefilm, Babe Ruth. Lang has worked in the movies for many years as well in films such as Last Exit To Brooklyn, Manhunter, Tombstone, Gettysburg, Gods And Generals, White Irish Drinkers, Christina, Band Of The Hand, Public Enemies, Conan The Barbarian, and James Cameron’s Avatar. The evolution of WAR began in 1969...and WAR has been evolving ever since.

WAR's global popularity is a tribute to the timelessness of its music and message. Perhaps, nothing epitomizes this truth greater than the fact that WAR has twice been honored by its hometown of Los Angeles, over twenty years apart, for its music making positive contributions to the betterment of the community. "The world is still a ghetto", says Lonnie Jordan, echoing the title of the early album and song. "There will always be a reason to play our songs. When you come back to reality, you pull down WAR, because WAR is reality. We have a lot of second-generation fans and they're seeing the same things their parents saw. They're hearing the same messages. We're like Levi's," says Jordan, "and there's nothing nostalgic about Levi's. In fact, they're not really good and funky until they've
been worn awhile.

"We are not stand-up comedians. Our show is not a passive, sit-back-and-watch experience. Most of the fun we have on stage comes from our inclusion of the audience – we get suggestions from them to begin each scene we perform, and in certain instances, bring them on-stage with us to add to our performance. It's less a ‘show’ and more a party. At least it feels like one to me. This group of actors brings me right back to how I started out in comedy – maybe that's why we have so much fun doing it." – Jim Belushi
