Thank you for joining The Villages Entertainment as a performer! We offer nightly entertainment 365 days a year at our three town squares and Sawgrass, each uniquely themed and surrounded by businesses providing food, clothing, merchandise, and services.

At The Villages, we pride ourselves on creating a safe and friendly environment for our residents to enjoy their retirement. Our commitment to kindness, courtesy, and knowledge ensures our residents are well taken care of. Meet Our Team

Here's a brief overview of our Entertainment team and their roles in special events.

Mary Carlson

Director of The Villages Entertainment

Since 2019, Chalsi has been instrumental in elevating the special events department, creating a culture of excellence and driving progress through innovative event curation

Shannon Sagraves

Special Event Assistant Manager

Liz has been with The Villages Entertainment since January 2023. At that time starting as a special events coordinator working all 3 squares with a focus on expanding markets, festivals, and vendor relationships. Now as Special Events Assistant Manager she will be one to assist with day of festival needs and invoicing.

Roslyn Spurlock

Special Event Coordinator

Sadie joined The Villages Entertainment team as a Special Events Coordinator in February of 2024.  She will be your contact for Brownwood Paddock Square related festivals, events, market nights, Saturday Farmers Markets, and general vendor information

Booking Other Events

- We do not share your information; residents’ requests are passed to you directly. - You may perform at other venues in The Villages without exclusivity but cannot announce it on the squares.

Load-In and Load-Out

- Regular load-in at 3:30pm, completed by 10:00pm. - Special event load-in times vary. - Limited parking; see specific rules for market nights and special events.

Market Night

- Held Mondays and Wednesdays at Spanish Springs, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lake Sumter Landing from 5pm-9pm. - Same performance rules apply as regular nights.

Merchandise & Handouts

- Sell merchandise next to the stage; no fee or percentage taken. - Do not promote outside performances without written permission. - Only distribute materials from your designated spot; no crowd engagement. - Family-friendly content required.

Cancellations or Late Arrivals

- Notify the Entertainment Manager immediately for cancellations or delays. - Excessive cancellations or tardiness may result in future performance cancellations.

DocuSign

- Contracts are signed via DocuSign. Contact the Entertainment Manager if you encounter issues.

Equipment

- Sound is provided; bring your own instruments and optional powered monitors or in-ear monitors. - Use of personal microphones is subject to approval.
