Child’s Anthem is a collection of some of Nashville’s finest studio musicians. They were all heavily influenced by the members of Toto, who were themselves the kings of the L.A. recording scene in the ’70s and ’80s. “We were always jamming on Toto songs in between takes in the studio. Eventually, we realized we ought to give everyone an opportunity to enjoy this music as much as we do. That’s why Child’s Anthem was formed. Above all, the songs are incredibly fun to play. The response to the band has been very gratifying.”
You can’t have a Toto tribute band without someone to sing Bobby Kimball’s demanding lead vocals. Child’s Anthem is fortunate to have Keith Landry on board. He toured and sang with Toto in their prime in the 1980s. That’s as authentic as it gets! The rest of the band’s passion for the music and technical expertise is equally impressive.
