The Landsharks are the premier Jimmy Buffett tribute band, personally endorsed by Buffett after he hired them on the spot following a surprise Key West performance, stating, “The Landsharks knew the songs better than I did!” Famous for high-energy, and authentic tropical rock shows, they have performed at Margaritaville, Disney World, with The Beach Boys, and much more.
A Legendary Key West Performance — Jimmy Buffett And The Landsharks Band!
During a Landsharks concert in Key West, Florida, The Landsharks got the surprise of a lifetime when Jimmy Buffett himself, made an unannounced appearance. Just off of Duval Street, in front of what was essentially all of Key West, Buffett joined The Landsharks on stage for an impromptu performance. The chemistry between Buffett and The Landsharks was immediate. They had such a blast that Buffett hired them on the spot to be the house band at Margaritaville.
This unexpected collaboration between Buffett and The Landsharks marked the start of a lasting relationship between The Landsharks and The Parrothead world. They went on to perform everywhere, becoming closely tied to Buffett, his tropical rock legacy, and the tropical rock music scene. In the words of Jimmy Buffett, they’re “keeping the party going!”
