The Villages® Brownwood Paddock Square® and Lake Sumter Landing® are the focus of many activities and play an important role in contributing to our friendly, hometown atmosphere. These guidelines are established to ensure the fair, continued, and profitable participation of our valued car clubs in The Villages® Car Club Shows.
Venue Space
Brownwood Paddock Square®
Max of 31 cars using 3 sides of the square.
Lake Sumter Landing®
Max of 53 cars using all 4 sides of the square.
Attendance & Staging
Shows take place on select Monday and/or Friday nights from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Brownwood cars stage behind Gators Dockside
Lake Sumter cars stage behind City Furniture
Cars enter the square around 4 PM
Leaving early without permission may result in loss of future show dates
Setup & Teardown
White 10’x10′ tents must have at least 25 lb weights per leg
Rental options for tents, tables, and chairs may be available through The Villages Entertainment
Chairs from the square may not be used
No tying off to structures or landscaping
No storage in landscaped areas; displays must be clean and visually appealing
No power provided; use only whisper-quiet generators, marine batteries with inverters, or battery-powered lights
Square outlets may not be used
Flammable items including kerosene, butane, and candles are prohibited
No gas cans can be left in parking spaces
Clean-Up & Safety
All trash must be bagged and removed by club members
Do not leave trash near or in existing containers
Non-biodegradable items must be properly disposed of
Do not discard anything into storm drains
No outside alcohol is permitted on the square
Glass containers are strictly prohibited (e.g., wine bottles, whiskey bottles, glassware)
The square includes the chained-off perimeter during Car Club Shows
Outside Alcoholic Beverages
Outside Alcoholic Beverages are strictly prohibited. NO GLASS (e.g., wine bottles, whiskey bottles, champagne bottles, bar glasses, wine glasses, etc.).
The square includes the chained-off areas during car shows.
Weather Policy
Weather-related decisions made case-by-case by the on-site manager.
Once set up, clubs must stay until event ends, unless excused by manager.
Solicitation
Soliciting is not allowed on the square.
Flyers must remain within designated tent space.
Dress Code & Conduct
Professional Appearance
Vendors and their staff must maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times
Clothing must not be revealing or distracting
Attire should reflect the ideals and image of The Villages
Code of Conduct
The use of drugs or alcohol by vendors or their staff is strictly prohibited
Vulgar language and disrespectful comments will not be tolerated
Vendors must be respectful to all staff from The Villages and its partners, and follow all directions given
Disciplinary Actions
Violations of the dress code or conduct policies will result in disciplinary action
Consequences may include suspension or permanent removal from future events
Staff Interaction
All club members must follow directions from The Villages staff and partners
Staff are present to ensure a safe, smooth event experience
Termination Without Cause
The Villages Entertainment may terminate a club’s participation at any time without cause
Written notice will be provided if this occurs
Entire Agreement
Agreement to Guidelines
The car club, participating in The Villages® event, confirms they have read, understand, and agree to comply with all Car Club Show Guidelines provided by The Villages® Entertainment.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
The vendor acknowledges that any violation or attempted violation of the Car Club Show guidelines and procedures may result in the termination of their participation in current and future events held by The Villages®.
