Featuring a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, this classic musical evokes both the glitz of vaudeville and the grit of backstage life. Based on the memoirs of burlesque star Gypsy Rose Lee, the production blends heart, humor, and a whole lot of high-kicks! Get ready to follow the journey of Mama Rose as she pushes her daughters toward stardom in a world where fame is never guaranteed.
SMASH Productions presents this show starring Deborah Gibbons, Pinky Bigley, Dawn DiNome Wetzel, Mark Kirschenbaum, and Garry Gibbons with a live band. The production team is led by Producer Susan Feinberg, Director Bob Stehman, Music Director Mary Ann Rockenbach, and Choreographer Barbara Byers.
A portion of proceeds go to Shriners Hospital and Humane Society of Sumter County.
